I’m Catherine, founder of Hive & Petal. A decade ago, I traded my lab coat for a life in the field. What began as a love of nature and growing beautiful things has evolved into a three-acre farm in Prairie City where bees and blooms work in harmony. For me, cultivating local, seasonal flowers is more than a job—it’s a grounding rhythm centered on care and community.
Turning Land Into a Dream
The path started when my husband and I found a 100-year-old acreage with 'good bones' and a need for restoration. It quickly became the canvas for our next adventure. After restoring the house and establishing the beehives, we began intensive flower cultivation. Year by year, we are turning this land into the dream farm we envisioned.
